Sapphiel’s Fall
Centred around a song-writing core of Pip Landers-Lets and Simon Kerrou, the Northampton, England based Sapphiel's Fall have created a sprawling legacy of sound as fluid and dynamic as the band itself. Two parts acoustic to two parts vocals, mixed with whatever electronics happen to be available and an orchestral ambition (on a homemade instrument budget) Sapphiel's Fall have become so much more than the sum of their parts.
Sapphiel's Fall released their debut album, Life Half Lived with Fitdog Records in the October of 2005. The band toured the album switching from full band sets to intimate acoustic venues to critical acclaim. The album itself (described amongst other things as 'positively decadent') defied classification switching between the sweet angst filled pop of 'Tremble' to the hypnotic trance of 'I Feel Love'.
Following a two year hiatus which saw Pip's beautifully dark vocal work taken on tour in Australia and British Columbia, Canada and Simon "doing monitors for Enya" Sapphiel's Fall are back in the studio recording their sophomore follow up to Life Half Lived.
Sapphiel's Fall will be debuting material from the new album live at Wangley Wood Festival at the Royal & Derngate Theatre in Northampton, England on 20th June 2009.
